Member 1:
Name: Kira
Species: Zangoose
Age: Teen (16)
Gender: Female
Abilities: Immunity- Kira cannot be poisoned
Nature: Quirky
Characteristic: Often lost in thought
IQ: 2
Moves :
Brick Break
X-scissor

Accessories: Purple scarf around neck, frilly apron
Artifacts: Consecrated tablet (fire spin on those nearby)
Religion: Order of the Sun
Summary of character’s history: Kira comes from a merchant father and bounty-hunting mother of a family, her mother being a Seviper-killing enthusiast. Kira has two older siblings but had limited contact with them as her brother Kane took up bounty hunting and her sister disappeared for some reason when Kira was young. Kira is a bright young learner, often turning to books for any answers she seeks. Spending most of her childhood reading, she even sees her own life as a story. She is naïve and friendly, though has proved to be prickly around Florin, a Spinda that dismisses her as ignorant.

Other: Kira and her siblings have purple eyes, perhaps from having a grumping father. She very rarely takes part in a fight and would rather try and talk things out. She is very curious and likes to ask questions. She also is on a slight personal quest to learn how to fight better; since she has the names of her mother and brother to live up to.

Member 2:
Name: Winston
Species: Swoobat
Age: Adult (50s)
Gender: Male
Abilities: Simple- Winston’s stat changes are double effective
Nature: Relaxed
Characteristic: Good Endurance
IQ: 2

Air Slash
Psychic
Stored Power
Calm Mind

Accessories: Aureola Collar (worn by Order of the Sun members)
Artifacts: Toxicroak Jelly (invokes Bulk UP once), Ancient Scroll (Invokes Tri Attack when translated)
Religion: Order of the Sun
Summary of character’s history: Winston grew up an orphan in Cathedral Drop in the continent of Tao. He learned with the other orphans there about Pope Phosphora and the ways that the order wished to dispel the darkness of the world. Winston devoted himself to this religion and even took up preaching for a stint. Discouraged by the lack of involvement from his congregation, Winston came back to the Cathedral and devoted his time to become a scholar.

One day, his childhood friend Matriel the Mienshao suggested that he leave the cathedral on a pilgrimage. Agreeing to this, Winston eventually stumbled across Kira in the Sapling Village library. Finding a common connecting with their love of learning, they decided to adventure and join a Tao Village guild. However, shortly after their application was accepted, Winston vanished through time. Spending a few days in the Tree of Life and the Nuzleaf clan there, he inadvertently became a legend to the clan. He returned to the present time and evolved in the last Tao tasks he participated in.

Other: Winston is a kind, grandfatherly character to any Pokémon he meets and is very relaxed and patient. Even though he is devout in the Order of the Sun, he accepts and appreciates all other ideologies Pokémon have. The only time that he appeared to be agitated was when told slander about a friend.

Member 3:
Name: Frith
Species: Drilbur
Age: Teen (16)
Gender: Male
Abilities: Sand Force-Frith’s ground attacks are powered up in a sandstorm
Mold Breaker- Ignores some abilities (like levitate)
Nature: Quiet
Characteristic: Sturdy Body
IQ: 2
Moves :
Substitute
Sandstorm
Drill Run
Shadow Claw

Accessories: Tattered green scarf around neck
Artifacts: Quil flail (invokes flail or poison sting)
Religion: Order of the Sun
Summary of character’s history: Frith is a hard Pokémon to figure out, mainly because he doesn’t talk. What is known of his past, told through mind-reading shiftrys, is that he was raised by a traveling merchant Shiftry that told him about the Great Woobat Story teller of old (Winston). Fascinated by the idea of the storyteller, he told himself that this was the time the storyteller would return. He searched and found Kira’s family, adding up the clues of a purple-eyed Zangoose in the stories being affiliated with Kira. He joined the team and eventually led her to the Tree of Life, where Winston reappeared. Frith does not intend to leave Winston’s team anytime soon.

Other: Firth is a cunning, serious, sarcastic, and deadpanning Pokémon at times to those who can read his mind. He doesn’t bother speaking because he finds it bothersome and grew up thinking most Pokémon could read minds. Apparently he and Kira are exactly the same age. Frith is more of the muscle of the team, which isn’t saying much when comparing to Kira, Winston, and Kurama.

Member 4:
Name: Kurama
Species: Nuzleaf (shiny)
Age: Teen (15)
Gender: Male
Abilities: Chlorophyll- Kurama’s speed boosts in strong sunlight
Pickpocket- Kurama may take an enemy’s item when hitting with a physical move
Nature: Naughty
Characteristic: Impetuous and Silly
IQ: 2
Moves :
Sunny Day
Seed Bomb
Beat-Up
Nature Power

Accessories: Continent Sash (worn by Path of Shine members)
Artifacts: (none)
Religion: Path of Shine
Summary of character’s history: Like Frith, Kurama grew up on the fairytales of the Great Story Teller Woobat. He comes from the nuzleaf clan that originally hosted Winston in the Tree of Life. Due to the Tree of life’s sap, about half of the Seedot there are born shiny, so his shiny status doesn’t mean that much to him. He joined the team during the last round of tasks in Tao.

Other: Kurama is a jokester and prankster, staying to his nuzleaf nature. He often does not take things too seriously and tells corny jokes despite his teammate’s groans.

“We are finally in Kinez, you guys!” Kira exclaimed. Spinning around in a circle, she giggled. “We are in a place that I’ve never read about! This is so cool! I’ve got to find their library!”

The elderly swoobat folded his wings together and beamed at the young Zangoose. Though he was quite neutral on the whole idea of going to Kinez and continuing his guild work, he couldn’t help but see Kira’s actions not unlike his own ideals years ago. Besides, what else would he go back to outside of this adventure? Clearing his throat, Winston asked kindly, “Do you think we should sign up for a guild first?”

The Zangoose stopped dancing around and nodded brightly. “Yeah! There are four guilds instead of Tao’s three, so where do you think we’ll fit?”

Frith the Drilbur only stared back blankly, as if saying he didn’t really care.

Kurama the Nuzleaf shrugged. “I dunno. We were merchants before, right? Should we be merchants again? Why were we even merchants in the first place? The tasks I did with you guys didn’t seem merchant-like.”

Their leader and sole female of the team tapped her chin. “Well, originally it was because Winston and I wanted safer work to go into. I mean, we aren’t really a team built for fighting and taking down bad guys. Frith seems to be the only real fighter here.”

The Drilbur acknowledged his fighting prowess with a confident smirk.

“Well, I can fight too; I just haven’t needed to yet.” Kurama protested.

“Even so,” she continued, “we aren’t a team of fighters; we are a team of learners and legend enthusiasts. We’d rather research about a problem.”

“And help others, perhaps as a way to save souls?” Winston chimed. His heart still warmed as the memory of Frith and Kira converting to the Order surfaced in his mind.

“So what guild allows that?” After she had asked, Kira and the rest of the team fell silent. Surely the rescuers and rouges had more danger-filled missions and tasks. And merchant work was fine and all but… what about a practitioner? What did they do? Thinking aloud, the young Zangoose spoke, “What you guys think of the practitioners?”

“Thus far I am not sure.” Winston admitted. “What Avery mentioned on the boat concerns me slightly, that the leader might be a bit crazy.”

“Well, we can meet her and find out, can’t we?” Kira suggested.

The red nuzleaf titled his head. “You really think the practitioners would be a good fit for us? I mean, they are mainly healers, aren’t they?”

A new voice interrupted, “And we do lots of research, keep everyone healthy, and brew medicines; not to mention the work our mental illness branch does.” The speaker, a Bayleaf with a lotus flower on her head, beamed at them. “Our guild is a lot more important than just healing wounded Pokémon. So don’t be writing us off just yet. I couldn’t help but overhear your conversation. You four are interested in joining the Practitioner Guild? I’m Peony, the assistant Guild Leader of the very same place.”

The Zangoose leader’s expression brightened. “So do you think that there is a place for storytellers and scholars in your guild? I mean, we aren’t very good at fighting…”

The Bayleaf shrugged a little. “Well, I’m still new and all to the guild system myself, but I’m sure we can always use smart, learned ‘mon. And unless you want to work in the mental ward, there’s little fighting that our guild participates in.” She puffed out her chest a bit. “But even though I know lots about my work, Albany does the interviews. I can show you to the office.”

Kira took a step forward before remembering that her team behind her. “Um, is that ok with you guys?”

Kurama made a face but quickly cheered himself. “As long as I don’t have to wear a nurse uniform, I guess I’ll learn to like the guild. I mean, I barely had any involvement with the Tao Merchant guild.”

“So you four are from Tao?” Peony quickly jumped back into the conversation. “But the red nuzleaf has a Path of Shine accessory. Do they have those religions over there too?” She gave Kurama an uneasy look and said, “No offense, but I’m a moderate Rainer myself. You know, Path of Rain?”

“Oh,” the shiny nuzleaf didn’t know how to continue the conversation and fell silent.
Despite that fact, Peony still led them to the Practitioner’s office. Taking the form from them in her vines, the Bayleaf pointed them down the white halls to the door at the far end. “Albany is in there and will interview you. Uh… good luck.”

Before Kira could ask what she meant, the Bayleaf plodded to her own room. The Practitioner’s office felt almost like a hospital, white floors and walls and soulless white lights beaming down at them. The room was carefully maintained and neatly organized, appearing to be more of a museum than a place where Pokémon worked.

The elderly Swoobat remarked, “I still do not like the tone this Albany gives others. It is like we should be afraid of her. I confess I have not met anyone thus far that has been portrayed so negatively before.”

The Zangoose nodded but began to walk forward nonetheless. “Well, we want to see if this guild is right for us. Let’s go and find out, right?”

Hesitantly, slowly, the four Pokémon edged towards the door. As Kira reached to turn the doorknob it squeaked open and swung away from her, revealing the red Florges herself. The Practitioner guild leader smiled at them, being smaller than Kira but still taller than the rest of the group. She waved them in and a sonorous, singing voice, “Hello there, I am Albany, the head Guild Leader of the Practitioners. I trust that you wish to join us? Otherwise you’d have to go to the clinic to be healed.”

“Uh, yeah. We are wondering what is expected of the guild. I mean, we aren’t much of fighters…” Kira answered.

The Florges offered a sweet and yet restrained smile, “Then come on in. No need to be shy.”

The four Pokémon obeyed and entered the cozy and extremely clean area.

As they situated themselves, Albany leaned forward and kindly asked, “And who of you is the leader of this band?”

“That would be me, ma’am. I am Kira and these are my teammates Winston, Frith, and Kurama.” The tallest Pokémon replied timidly. The Zangoose smiled and continued, “And we are part of the Tao Pokémon group.”

“Ah yes, the foreigners.” Albany cooed. Her eyes narrowed slightly as her tone switched quite suddenly, “Tell me, do you like pain? Can you stand the sight of blood?”

“I-what?” Kira yelped.

“Oh, simple, normal questions that a practitioner must answer, deary~.” She giggled.

The four Pokémon of Team Tome stared at her a long moment before the leader managed to reply, “Um, I don’t like pain… and I haven’t had to deal with many wounds so I don’t really know?”

“I see, so you’ll start at the very bottom.” She remarked, “That’s fine though, not everyone who enrolls is talented in the healing arts. As long as you think you can handle the pressure of saving a life, then I see no problem in accepting you four.”

“S-saving a life?” Winston ventured.

The Florges continued in her flowery voice, “You may have the responsibility or duty to look after a critical condition patient. You must face these trials with confidence. And even though you confess to not being much of fighters, I will insist that you perfect your moves to handle some of our unruly patients. Just enough to handle yourself is something were to happen.” She waved her hand daintily. “But such high responsibilities are rare and higher guild assistants will take over if need be.”

“So… you think we’d be a good addition to the guild, Miss Albany?” Kira asked.

She blinked rapidly as she replied, “Of course. If you volunteer your services to me and my guild, why would I turn you down?” A smirk appeared on the Garden Pokémon’s face. “To be honest, our guild numbers are quite low and we’d love willing Pokémon to join.”

“Ah well then…” The young Zangoose glanced around at her companions before finishing her thought, “We’d be the Pokémon for the job.”

“Grand. I will put you to work right away; we must ease the suffering of others, don’t we?” She hovered back to her desk and began writing something down on the paper before her.

Sensing that the meeting was at an end, the four Pokémon left Albany in peace.
Wow, writing this made me realize how much this team has gone through together... how many artifacts they have and all that... and the tasks that they completed to get those artifacts...

Ahem, Nostalgia aside, Here is Team Tome. Like Maundy Money, they also got a guild change! Practitioners~ Even though they are NPCs of the group and my characters, they are still participating the guild activities (though not always in the same way regular members will).

This was the application you were working on all day : o. Well, it doesn't disappoint : D! Like Kanoshi said, it's a really good summary of what they did before, and I don't think I've ever seen that without somebody going into exposition mode, which I didn't expect. Really great work on your part <^-^>~!
