1. Vasko's name originally came from the same game that Artyom's did: Metro Last Light. While watching York play it on one of our vacations, we had lots of fun trying to sneak up and knock out all the guards and thus warmed me up to the name of Artyom, the main character (that doesn't talk too XD). This also is where Artyom's fists of justice comes from: from the game's goal of punching/killing nazis and commies.
2. Vasko's species of Chatot was more of a meta decision since I hadn't made any bird characters and I wanted to practice a little more of their anatomy. Furthermore, Vasko has always been given poor posture (in his Pokemon and human forms) for me to also play with editing a cartoon character's body outside of the regular template. He's also got a small double-chin.
3. Vasko was given a lot of the same template Florin originally started out with: being a little shifty and being an emotional roller coaster with a love of order and respect (they both even have glasses ). Their similarities gives me the head-canon that in KDA they were good teacher-student friends. And writing grown-up Florin gives even more Vasko hints in personality. The difference between the two is found more in their internal motivations: Florin being a little more proactive of the two.
4. Being a chattering parrot donned with 80's style huge glasses, he's always up for giving little rants about 'back in my day' and 'kids these days' tangents. In fact, his personality is so focused on how he's an older Pokemon that I haven't gotten much of his past and youth figured out yet. But that's what Nikola's prying is for~
5. It took a while, but out of all my characters, I've finally found one that can complete the 'Seven Deadly Sins' meme for the title of Gluttony. And Vasko fits it. While he's not a heavy eater that gluttons are usually known for, gluttony is also associated with over-indulgence. And with Vasko's need for hoarding relics and pretty much anything he can find, it fits his species and a trait I hadn't been able to explore yet. That and he's a touch lazy (or maybe perfectionist because his hand-writing obviously sucks).
6. Interesting tidbit: in the KDA universe, Vasko seems to have a few connections with June for some odd reason. First off, Vasko somewhat looks like June's father and as such, he was chosen to be the first victim of The Carnival. As a side story of KDA states, she simply went up to Vasko with no provocation and shot his neck. Furthermore, the method of his death in Guiles' Magic Summit was equated (whether by Guiles or Cosette) with a scene between Frith and June in the events of KDA 1 where June burned her incentive in the kitchen.
7. In PMDOrigins, Vasko seems to be pushed around by Artyom's rebellion, but deep down the Chatot still finds the boy endearing in a way, perhaps suggesting that Vasko once admired rebellion. That or he's concerned for the Mudkip's apparent lack of a family or father figure. His feelings for the team is of a frustrated parent over a teen making all the wrong choices.
8. Even in Guiles' safe, drug-and-other-vice-free mind, Vasko still states in KDA 2 that he needs a stiff drink (and is the only one that expresses that want). I guess his personality shone through our painter's bias.
9. Relational-wise, I don't think Vasko cares about finding a romantic partner. He's not lonely, since he's usually talking with the towns-'mon for his social interaction between introspective pauses in peace surrounded by his collection. His work seems to be what is most important out of life. In fact, he's one of the few ship-less characters I've created. Even Artyom -who hates everyone- has two ships.
10. ... I can't think of any more facts. So let's go with "Writing Vasko is the most fun when he's in pain or annoyed, and his team in Origins almost guarantees that" and call it good.

Great Things
Hi! :D How are you today?
I personally am super, super happy. For one, I'm now a month into my new manufacturing job (being finally rid of my 7 year long run in fast food) and I love it a lot! Repetitive tasks and cleaning in slow spells for 8 hours? Count me in! :giggle:
Work has largely improved my overall happiness, not to mention that within a week I'll be moving into my own place! Just me and the cats in sweet, uninterrupted solitude. :aww:
And to top it all off, I've also reached over 150 watchers on this website. :blush: Thank you so much for being interested in my content everyone! I hope the pace of comics will speed up when I'm
Story Time
So as you can see, I kinda sank into a long spell of inactivity, and if you care to hear, I'll recap a bit of what I was doing.
One of the reasons I fell out of the internet was job searching. And by job searching, I mean trying a few times, giving up, and not touching the internet for a while. You see, I'm fairly thin-skinned, and when I get rejection or dead silence, it really affects me. Granted I'm trying to thicken that skin since that's what happens in the creative world. It's a work in progress. ^^;
And a reason that I came back to look at DA again is because I've got a possibility of a job offer. And feeling accomplished and deservi
Maybe back?
Hello all. ^^;
So I went into deep hibernation for a few months. Not because the weather was bad or anything, but because I was happy to sink into reality, a new friend group, and put creativity to the wayside. But hey, things happen in people's lives. :shrug: I'm sorry if any of you felt like I was bailing or ignoring you guys. ^^; Lots of factors just piled up in my mind and only now the itch to write is bringing back to opening this laptop again.
So then, not sure if I can promise much art right now... I'm kinda in a rewriting mood. And before concerns come up, I think I want to still tell the Bitter Pill story, mostly because I like the
Rise and Shine, Ursine!
Hiya, everyone. I haven't touched my computer for about a week now, not like that's important all that much. :shrug: You've got your lives and I've got mine.
But if you're curious where I've been, the title might give you a partial hint.
So a week ago I fell on my tailbone and felt pretty uncomfortable. You never realize how important a tailbone is for balance until you hurt it.
So to drown my pain, I was playing a lot of Animal Crossing (I finally got all the museum fossils completed today and two missing pieces of other sets were found, so I'm super happy!) and watching Future Diary (I'm about halfway through! I love Aru so much :XD:).

Well, guess I must do it! :3 (has already typed up what I hope will be fine and dandy for this meme)
